Junín de los Andes is a city in the province of Neuquén, Argentina. It is located in the south of the province, on National Route 234, about 35km north of San Martín de los Andes and 17km from the Chapelco Airport. Surrounded by barren mountains this town serves as a good, cheap base for visiting the nearby Parque Nacional Lanín.

Around and closeby
Catch a bus to Lago Huechulafquen, from there you can walk to the undeveloped Termas de Lahuen-Có and take a relaxing dip, or carry on to the crater of the Volcán Achen Niyeu.

Sightseeing
Take a walk up the Vía Cristi, a dirt path that leads from the end of Avenida Antártida Argentina to the top of Cerro de La Cruz. There are lots of impressive sculptures and mosaics that tell the history of this land.

Getting there
The bus station is three blocks from the town centre and receives daily buses from Bahía Blanca, Córdoba, Zapala, Neuquén, Buenos Aires and San Martín de los Andes.
