Pargua is nothing more than a port for Chiloé, and it’s located opposite the Chilote village of Chacao, some 11km south-west of the turn-off to Maullin. And since there’s nothing to do here, not many people come here. There’s only one ferry operator that runs flat landing crafts across the straits.
Sometimes during the day it might take a really long time to get here, waiting for the ferry to arrive takes half an hour alone, and then the journey takes another half hour as well. If you’re driving, you can take your car along in the ferry.
