Riñihue is a minor town in Valdivia Province, southern Chile. It is located south of the Tralcán Mount, on the west side of Riñihue Lake. The town is mostly known for being flooded. It is almost undiscovered by tourists. The village sits on the western edge of the lake and is known by Chileans as a producer of German and Swiss style cheeses.
