The small oil town of Cerro Sombrero, which is one of the main towns of Chilean Teirra del Fuego, is basically a tiny town located on the top of a small flat hill and filled with mostly houses and settlements, and all you can see at a glance are TV aerials. This place has nothing much to visit, but people drop by here occasionally, just to take a break or fill up on petrol. There’s one particular place which people can visit, the Plaza de Armas, which has a plant filled conservatory. Since it’s an oil town, and also a place to take a break, the small town still offers some modest accommodation. If you've had enough with this place, you can drive further north for forty three kilometres to take the ferry and travel further.
