Río Yavarí is one of the best places from which to see the Amazon up close and undisturbed. The river is located within the long stretches of virgin forests. There are several privately owned reserves which offer accommodations, guided tours and activities. Activities here refer mainly to forest walks, fishing, night-time alligator-spotting, bird-watching, dolphin-watching and visits to the indigenous settlements.
