Quepos is a small town in Costa Rica near the Manuel Antonio National Park. The town is surrounded by African Palms, the beaches are pretty but the water is polluted and it's not recommended that you swim here. It's far better to head to Manuel Antonio where the water is clean. The prices of accommodation and food are much cheaper in Quepos though.

Sightseeing
You must visit the Manuel Antonio National Park. It was the first national park in the country and it has some great hiking trails and swimming and snorkelling pools. There is also a lot of wildlife to be spotted with three species of monkey, tow-toed sloths and iguanas among other things.

Getting there
There are regular flights between San José and Quepos and it only takes 25 minutes. There are also daily buses from the Coca Cola terminal in San José.

Getting around
Quepos is small enough to walk around but there are buses every 30 minutes to Manuel Antonio
