The small village of Vara Blanca does not have much to offer to tourists, but if you manage to get there during clear days, you might be able to see Volcán Poás and Volcán Barva to the west and the east of the village.

Getting there
Getting here is very easy. Just take the Hwy 126 and climb up for 2000m until you reach the village. At the town gas station, you can decide which road to take, depending on the destination; either Poás or San Miguel. Travelling down passed the turnoff is dangerous so if you decide to do it do be careful, the views are spectacular though. There are many places where you can stop and take photos!
