If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of big city life but don’t want to give up the great shopping, Quesada is the perfect place to spend your time. With full services, spas, hotels and restaurants, it will make you feel like royalty. Once in the city, you’ll have the opportunity to wander around this booming agricultural town, filled to the brim with saddle shops that sell only top-quality leather saddles. If you’re lucky, you’ll be around during the annual fair. But for most travellers, even those that miss city life, Quesada is one city that can be passed up without missing much. The city is still learning how to handle congestion and growth and can be dangerous for any tourists that don’t know their way around.

Getting there
You can get to Quesada’s terminal by bus from most major towns, including La Fortuna, Los Chiles, Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí, San José and Tilarán, but if you have luggage you’ll either have to take a taxi from the terminal or lug your bags uphill. Don’t forget that bus lines and natives popularly refer to the city as San Carlos or Quesada—you don’t want to get lost.
