If you’re into taking the scenic route when you go for a drive, you should definitely look into the Costa de Pájaros—the 40km stretch of road that links Punta Morales in the south to Manzanillo in the north. The base of the coast is lined with mangrove trees, which are not only a strange and wonderful sight of their own, but also attract hundreds of birds including pelicans, seabirds and occasionally parrots and other bird species. On the southern stretch of Costa de Pájaros, near Punta Morales, you can see Isla Pájaros clearly from the road.
