Sightseeing
There are three perfect breaks at Osa which you are unlikely to find at most other beaches in the area. Besides surfing, Cabo Matapolo also boasts a wide network of trails that go across beaches, into forests and over foothills. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to go bird watching and wildlife watching, all the time seeing animals that are endangered, and in some cases nearly extinct, just hanging out in the forest. The trails are also perfect for going it alone, if you like to have peace and quiet on your hikes so that you can enjoy the splendors of nature.

Getting there
Just 17km south of Puerto Jiménez, you can easily access Cabo Matapolo by bus, car and taxi, or even on foot. Don’t worry if your feet get tired, you can treat them like royalty when you get there.
