If you need a place to stop on your way to or from Palmar Sur, take your rest in Sierpe, which is only 30km away from the Pacific Ocean and receives a nice breeze without all of the hungry seabirds and pesky bugs. Sierpe is not a destination site for travellers but does have four hotels with private bathrooms and excellent restaurants serving up fresh seafood and other local fare.

To get to Sierpe, take a flight into Palmar Sur and ride a bus the other 14km, or go by car or bus from any major city.
