This busy little railroad town is located on the edge of the Río Chancan gorge, and perhaps the most notable landmark here is the giant statue of St Peter. This is where most people get off the train, before the journey continues further down to the “Nariz del Diablo”. This small town is famous for its scenery, especially the areas around the train station and near the main plaza. You can expect to find all the modern facilities here, even though it's only a small town of 5,500 people.
