HOME - Ecuador - Central Highlands - Guano


This small village is located a few kilometres north of Riobamba, and is accessible by bus. You can always drive down too. With a population of approximately 7000, it is famous for being a carpet making centre. When you are in Guano, a visit to their cottage industry can be quite a treat. The streets of Guano are lined with carpet stores and you can always pick one up as a souvenir.
