Muisne is a coastal town in the south-west of the province of Esmeraldas. It is located on the northern tip of the small island known as Isla de Muisne. Also known as the 'Enchated Island'. Not many tourists bother to come here but it can make a nice trip off-the-beaten-track.

Sightseeing
On the western side of the island there is a beach which is its best feature, almost deserted, a long stretch of windswept sand and majestic palms. There are also some protected mangrove swamps that are worth a visit.

Getting there
The narrow channel between the mainland, El Relleno, and the eastern side of the island is crossed by small outboard-motor boats for passengers and by barges for cars and small trucks.
