It only takes about 20 minutes to reach Olmedo from the La Tola pier. Olmedo is a small village surrounded by mangroves, kissed by the crystal clear sea and is a haven for prosperous shrimp farms. It is an Afro-Ecuadorian fishing village and offers fishing tours for visitors. There are a handful of community run hotels that offer great sea views and seafood.
