Pedernales is a small place that is famous for its beaches. It lies 40km south of Cojimíes. You can reach Pedernales by taking a bus from Canoa, San Vicente, Santo Domingo, Quito or Guayaquil. There are a couple of hotels a few blocks back from the beach that are reasonably priced. The food from the street side grills is delicious and probably the cheapest way to eat here.
