This small weaving village is located some 7km north-east of Otavalo, off the Panamericana. You can easily get here by buses from Otavalo. The village is unique and is famous for its shamans.There is even a local shamans' association which has 120 members. If you walk around, you can find advertisements of these members on their homes, their names scribbled in large letters. If you are comfortable with this kind of thing, you can always try them out. But be careful of the cleansing ritual that involves raw eggs and spittle.
