This village has some nice things to offer to travellers, and in fact, you get to see the beauty of the place even before arriving. The road passes through various landscape wonders, and places filled with banana trees, which stretch to the hills.

Sightseeing
The most notable tourist spot here is the Junín Community Reserve, which is great for activities such bird watching, hiking, and so on. The place is very nice, with lots of waterfalls, and a simple lodge to start off from. Food is provided here; though it is vegetarian. The reserve is your chance to meet the locals, and besides that, it is their main source of income without destroying nature and instead making use of what has been given to them. In the future, this place might end up falling to the mining industry, although thet're fighting against that. You can choose to just visit the place and volunteer as well. Whatever you want, it is advisable to call first. You can choose to farm, do biological research, or teach.

Getting there
As for transportation, this reserve is about 20 minutes walk uphill from Junín. During rainy seasons, buses are limited, and in that case you need to arrange for your own transport with tour guides.
