The small village of Puerto Rico is located 8km south of Salango. You can easily get here by road, which actually passes through the village. One of the most important attractions here is the resort, which is also the sole provider for accommodations. This resort is located south of the village, and has some nice, furnished rooms with wooden interiors. The best part about this place is that almost everything is built from recyclable materials. The sea is good for swimming, although the currents are quite strong and you have to be very careful. Food here is pretty good as well. You can find both seafood as well as vegetarian. There’s also a bar.
