If you’re looking for a beach where you’ll spend more time walking and sunbathing than wading, you should head down to Punta Carnero. Punta Carnero can be reached by taking the bus from La Libertad—it doesn’t run by often since most visitors bring their own vehicles. The water is too rough for swimming, but if you’re into fishing you can rent a boat at Salinas and sail on down.
