The tiny village of Salinas is set amongst beautiful, isolated countryside. It's a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay, and the produce they make here is to die for. Especially the heavenly chocolate and the creamy cheeses. There is a market every Tuesday where you can pick some up to take with you.

There are several enjoyable hiking trails around the town, or you can hire a guide, go on a tour of the local factories and get to sample the freshest produce.

You can catch a bus in Guaranda that will bring you to Salinas.
