If you’re a sport fishermen or you’re on an international yachting expedition, you’ll find the Santa Elena Peninsula most inviting. If you’re going to Santa Elena after docking port somewhere else in Ecuador, you can catch a bus at Salinas, Guayaquil, La Libertad, Chanduy or a host of other locations. If you’re on your to way to either Guayaquil or Ruta del Sol and you’re not into fishing or boating, the Santa Elena Peninsula will not be on your destination map, since it only has a few accommodations and restaurants that are usually filled to capacity by local water-dogs anyway.
