Just 25 kilometres south of Gualaceo, Sigsig is a quaint colonial village located next door to San Bartolomé—where you can buy hand-crafted guitars. Sigsig is the heart of the hat-making industry and sells them far cheaper than most other cities. You’ll find several restaurants on the market plaza as well as some rather neat and tidy, yet inexpensive hotels, catering to tourists.
