If you're dying to visit one of the best beaches in the country but you're worried that you'll have to deal with the crowds, you should forget your fears and head down to Playa El Espino. El Espino is one of the new hot spots in El Salvador because of the recently paved roads that have made it more accessible. It has great hotels and restaurants with excellent service and food and you won't feel the same pinch in your wallet as you will at other beach hotels near La Unión. Any bus from Usulután will get you to El Espino and on weekdays, it's virtually empty.
