The small town of Juayúa is very famous, not only for its historical buildings but also for the Feria Gastronómica or the food festival which happens every weekend at the Parque Central. Here you can sample some delicious food from the restaurateurs who come here to market their expertise. This weekly event is the real draw card for the town.

Sightseeing
The coffee processing plant is an interesting place to visit, but it's better if you come during midweek rather than at the weekend when it's less busy.

Getting there
You can easily get the bus here from Sonsonate, it runs every fifteen minutes. There are also other buses from Ahuachapán, Apaneca, and Ataco.
