Punta de Manabique is a peninsula that juts out into Bahía de Amatique. Edged with idyllic beaches and covered in rich wetlands, it’s a piece of paradise in Guatemala that has been turned into a reserve to try and fight the ever encroaching threat of commercialism.

Getting there
The only way to reach Manabique is by boat, you can either arrange a boat from Puerto Barrios or from Livingston.
