Around and closeby
Besides the church, you can also visit the silver workshop where you can find the silver, mined in the highlands of Alta Verapaz, worked on and sold. It’s not difficult to find the workshop, just follow the signs to Plateria Tipica La Antiguena.

Sightseeing
The most famous spot in this small town is the Gothic-style church, which has the image of Jesus Sepultado, which is said to have miraculous powers. Although, the church was almost completely destroyed in an earthquake some thirty years ago, it has been restored, and every year on August 30, there is an anniversary fiesta to celebrate the holy image that was brought here in 1670.
