Chiquimulilla is located about 20km from the Pacific coast. It serves as a market town for the surrounding areas but apart from that there's not really anything special about it. However, the leather goods sold on the market are hand crafted in the area and are of the highest quality because Chiquimulilla sits in the heart of cowboy country.

Getting there
Buses come here from Guatemala City, via Taxisco, every 30 minutes. You can also catch a bus from the border. There are pick-ups and buses running between Chiquimulilla and Las Lisas from 8am to 5pm.
