The village of Dolores was once nothing more than an outpost for missionaries. Founded in 1708, it has continued to grow over the years. There isn’t really much of interest in the village itself but there are some ruins about an hour’s walk to the north. The Mayan site of Ixkún is made up of eight plazas, it’s fairly sizable but as yet no restoration has been done. You can get to Dolores by bus from Flores.
