The coastal small spot of Los Barriles is located south of La Paz, and is very much known for its windsurfing activities. Especially during the winter, winds blowing at 20 to 25 knots make it a really worthy place. In fact this place is Baja’s windsurfing capital, but it has to be known that these winds are only there from January to March. From April to August, the winds die away and windsurfing is no more the trend.

Getting there
The place is not easily accessible by road, especially during the rainy season. There are dirt roads beyond Cabo Pulmo and Bahia Los Frailes, which can be driven on, but after rainstorms, you can forget about it.
