Mexicali is the capital of the state of Baja California and it is the most northern city in Latin America. Mexicali is mainly a business centre, with big manufacturing and agricultural industries, and a busy rail line into California

Tourist Offices
The Mexican Tourist Bureau is located on the corner of Camelias and Calz López Mateos and it's open from 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Sightseeing
You can explore the Chinese Pagoda in Plaza de la Amistad, along the border crossing, as well as the modern Civic Centre, which is the administrative heart of the municipality.

Getting there
There are flights connecting Mexicali with Mexico City, Mazatlán, Guadalajara and other main destinations across the country. There are buses from Ensenada, Guadalajara, La Paz, Mazatlán, Mexico City, Tijuana and San Felipe.
