When you are travelling down from Mexicali to San Felipe, you will pass through the best sceneries in Baja, which includes the Tolkienesque sierras, the ocean, and the barren deserts. Once you get to your destination, you will be welcomed by a fishing community on the Sea of Cortez. The place is known for its snowbird spot, and the tides which serve as a haven for beachcombers. When the tides go away, the smooth sands are visible for miles. Occasionally, interesting and attractive events like the Baja 250 would be held here, which is why this place is loved by motorheads.
The place has everything necessary for a touring town, such as ATMs and traveller check banks, hotels and motels at really affordable prices, and delicious food at various eateries.
Getting there
It is generally accessible by bus or car, which doesn’t take more than two and a half hour drive from the Mexicali border crossing.
