Despite being a moderately big town, San José del Cabo is a very quiet and laid back place. The streets are narrow, the plazas are shady and made for fun, the shopping experience is very relaxing, the buildings are beautifully Spanish, and the restaurants serve good food.
San José del Cabo is divided into two parts, the San José proper, and the Zona Hotelera. The former is about 1.5km inland and the latter is the coastal area with large beach front hotels. The two areas are linked south of Plaza Mijares, by several restaurants and souvenir shops. This place has almost everything, such as bookstores, Internet cafés, banks, post office, tourists office, and it is a true tourist location. Also, accommodation is readily available everywhere.
Sightseeing
There are many places to visit as well. Just to name a few, there is the Iglesia San Jose, Paseo del Estero, Playa Santa Maria, and many more.
