Laguna La Maria is situated about 13km from Suchitlan and 1km from La Becerrera. Lagoons are an integral part of our natural environment that is home to micro environments and this one is no different. This lake is beautiful and is fed by freshwater springs making their way through the mountains. A perfect picnic spot, you can also enjoy boating and fishing in the lake and for those with an adventurous spirit, camping is allowed here. It is packed during the holiday season but there are quite a few places of accommodation to choose from, offering the basic amenities including television, kitchen and row boat rentals.
