Named after the distinctive rock formations, the Organ range is located on the western edge of Zacatecas state, in the Parque Nacional Sierra dos Órganos. You have to pay to enter, but it’s really worth of the money. The rock formations here are very beautiful, some resembling organ pipes, and the others open for interpretation by people’s imaginations. Some rock profiles have even been named for Catholic imageries, such as the El Papa and Los Frailes. It’s not a very big park, only about 2797 acres in size, and it doesn’t take more than several days to cover the whole place. Generally, people like to hike around the park, but you have to carry food and water, because the lack of facilities here is a big drawback. The place is popular among Hollywood directors, there have been several films made here, including 'The Cisco Kid' and 'The Guns of San Sebastian'. Being surrounded by nice, high desert sceneries this place is an ideal spot for beauty lovers and movie directors alike.
