LaBarrita is situated about an hours drive from Zihua, which is off the highway 200. Although it is not a hot spot for travellers, it definitely is one for surfers who can check the beach breaks at this place.

Getting there
The most spectacular stretch of road lies just 4km passed LaBarrita where it runs along the beach and the crashing surf occasionally throws water on to the road. You can also find buses from Zihua or Acapulco for LaBarrita.
