Teotenango is a well restored ruin of the Matlazinca ceremonial centre, dating back to the 9th century. This site is very unique and extensive, with many pyramids, plazas, and a ball court. These places have a great view of the horizon surrounding it.

Sightseeing
One notable place to visit here would be the Museo Arqueologico del Estado de Mexico, which is located near the entrance. This museum has a great display of the Teotenango pottery and sculpture, and a special section about the pre-history of the place.

Getting there
This site is accessible by road, which means you can either drive or take the bus. Buses are available very frequently and alternatively you can take taxi. Road signs are very helpful for those who are driving, so you won't get lost.
