The small town of La Pesca is probably one of the most peaceful places to be when compared to many destinations in the US and Mexico. The air is relaxing, and the environment offers greenery and rows of huts, popularly known as the fishing village. There is a white sandy beach, Playa La Pesca, located about 6km west of town, and is dotted with palapa shades and restaurants.

The beach is generally deserted during the day, but it becomes alive during the weekends due to family cruises from Ciudad Victoria and Monterrey.

Sightseeing
There are plenty of natural attractions in the form of Rio Soto La Marina and the Laguna Morales, which contains rainbow trout, kingfish, sea bass, porgy, sole, and some offshore fishes like the tarpon and baitfish.

La Pesca is also the home to one of the world’s most endangered sea turtles, Kemp’s Ridley, which nests on the coastline from March to July.
