Just like San Martín Tilcajete, this small town of 1000 people is known for its beautifully bright copal-wood 'alebrijes' or animal figures. You can buy these handicrafts directly from the makers. This small village is located below the west side of Monte Albán, about 4km off the Cuilapan road.
