Juchitán de Zaragoza is an indigenous town in the south-east of the Mexican state of Oaxaca. It is the fourth-largest city in the state, just barely behind Salina Cruz. The majority of the indigenous inhabitants are Zapotecs and Huaves.

Sightseeing
The main square is called the Jardín Juárez, It's a lively, colourful place where you can pick up some traditional clothes and, if you are brave enough, maybe sample the local delicacy, iguana.

Getting there
There are regular buses from Acayucan, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Pochutla, Bahía de Huatulco, Puerto Escondidio, Veracruz and Villahermosa.
