Located in the Parque Nacional Lagunas de Chacahua, the coastal lagoons are known for their pristine and beautiful beaches and an eco habitat consisting of bird and plant life. Most of the people staying here are descendants of African slaves who escaped the Spanish. There’s a village at the end of Lagunas de Chacahua, which connects the lagoon to the ocean. Besides swimming, the sea provides enough waves for surfers to have a go. One of the interesting places, especially if you are fond of reptiles, is the crocodile breeding centre.
