Unlike the neighbours Zipolite and Mazunte, which are developed and far more modernized, the small coastal village of San Agustinillo is cleaner and offers a family atmosphere. San Agustinillo is popular for boogie-boarding and people from all over the world come here to get a taste of some of the perfect waves and also try body surfing. Swimming is a good alternative, though it is not always safe as the currents may carry you into the rocks. Surfboards are available for rent and anyone and everyone can have a go.

Sightseeing
Some of the most enjoyable activities include dolphin watching and sometimes even turtle viewing. The best place to spot these small, four-legged creatures lies between the coast of Zipolite and Puerto Escondido.

Getting there
San Agustinillo can be easily reached using public transport from Zipolite and Mazunte.
