This small mountain village is located about 102km south of Ocotlán. It is known for many natural attractions, which are obvious from the beautiful sceneries that greet you the moment you arrive. People come here mostly because it is a good base for walks through the cool mountain pine forests to the waterfalls. The mountain is also known for its magic mushrooms!

Getting there
All the buses travelling along Hwy 175 between Oaxaca and Pochutla will stop here in San José. If you’re driving it's about 50 minutes past Miahuatlán. To make things easier, it’s just outside the Valles Centrales on Hwy 175, heading towards Pochutla.
