Three fine architectural treasures still exist in Mexico from the Dominican times, the finest of them lies in San Pedro Teposcolula. San Pedro Teposcolula has a large population and good arrangements for tourists. It is a relaxed and friendly town situated 20km south-west of Yanhuitlan on the Hwy 125. Unlike the monasteries in the neighboring two towns of Coixtlahuaca and Yanhuitlán, the extensive restoration work is complete in the monastery here. There are many things to see in this town like the stately Capilla Abierta, which has several finely carved arches. There is also a church next to the work site.
