This small village of 1,000 people is located about 2km south of the San Martín Tilcajete turnoff, on the eastern side of Hwy 175. Unlike San Martín Tilcajete, which is just focused on the alebrijes, this village is more into weaving high quality textiles on back-strap looms. There is nothing average about these textiles, their designs are marvellous, often with fine detailed work on the fajas or cotton waist-sashes, with all kinds of intricate animal and plant designs.
