The small village of Teotitlán del Valle is famous for its weaving. It is located 4km north of Hwy 190 and 25km from Oaxaca. In fact, on the way to the village itself you can see the woven products. Things like blankets, rugs and sarapes, which is a blanket with an opening for the head and normally used as a cloak, will wave at you as they flutter in the breeze, as if they are welcoming you into the village.

Sightseeing
The village has several nice places to visit, such as the Museo Communitario Balaa Xtee Guech Gulal, where you can see some local archaeological findings from around the area, as well as local crafts and traditions. You can also visit the Turismo de Aventura Teotitlán, where you can go mountain biking and bird watching, among other things.
