Villahermosa is the capital city of the state of Tabasco in Mexico. It is known for its joyful people whose characteristic is the warm welcome to outsiders and the ability to joyfully celebrate life. In Spring the whole city seems to burst into flower and these blooms add to the joyous feeling.

Tourist Offices
The tourist information centre is along Avendia de los Ríos, one block to the left of Avenida Ruíz Cortines. It's open from 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday, on Saturdays it closes at 1pm.

Sightseeing
Visit the outdoor Parque - Museo La Venta, full of fascinating, historical finds. There are lots of things to check out such as the zoo, the sculpture trail and the sound and light show.

Getting there
Villahermosa has an airport with connections to Mexico City, Monterrey, Oaxaca, Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Veracruz, Mérida and Cancún. There are daily buses from Campeche, Cancún, Veracruz, Tenosique, Palenque, Mérida and Mexico City.
