The quiet fishing village of Puerto Moralos is located 33km south of Cancún. The only reasons to visit here are if you want to take the car ferry to Cozumel or you just want to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. There are some good hotels here, mainly targeted at travellers. The village is also known for scuba diving, whereby many divers come to explore the beautiful stretch of barrier reef, which is located 600metres offshore. You can easily reach the reefs by boat.
