If you’re looking for a place to kick up your heels and try some on the freshest milk around while you’re in Nicaragua, there’s no better place to go than to Boaco. Boaco is a small town that is growing rather rapidly, along the road to El Rama, and is only 12 kilometres away from Empalme de Boaca. Buses drive along this main highway from nearly every major city in the area, and many make a stop right at the entrance to the city.
Sightseeing
There isn’t much to do in the way of sightseeing here, unless you’re into oddities that have no explanation. Near the middle of town there is a strange over-sized statue of a mushroom! If you’re lucky, a local farmer may be willing to treat you to a fresh glass of cow’s milk—straight from the udder.
