Camoapa is in the Boaco department of Nicaragua. It's pretty much a one horse town and although there's not much to do here, except pick up one of the locally made pita hats, it has good access to the surrounding attractions. You can arrange hikes up the Cerro Mombahcito-La Vieja and the Cuisaltepe Peak. There are a couple of decent, inexpensive hotels and restaurants in town.
